I can now reveal the cast. I am delighted to announce that Jeremy Sheffield (Last Chance Harvey, The Wedding Date, Holby City) Sylvia Syms (The Queen, Ice Cold in Alex) and a young man called Christian Lees will be playing the leads. The supporting cast include Tessa Peake-Jones (Only Fools and Horses), Harry Myers (he was in my first film, The Bank Job) Nitin Kundra and Chris Thatcher. The school children will be Joelle Wallbank, George Sanderson, Callum Francis, Kirsty Hickey and Lauren Platt. All of which are from Sylvia Young's Theatre School in London.
The crew is coming together. We have secured deals for all the camera, lighting and grip equipment and film stock and lab costs. We start shooting on the 10th of September, so just under two weeks to the shoot. Very exciting!
And of course tonight I step onto the Plinth in Trafalgar Square tonight at 9pm. I have to be there at 7pm as I am being interviewed for the programme on Sky Arts. Should be fun. Fingers crossed the weather isn't too bad.
